Oxford Limiter V2 Hdx True Peak Limited Plugin For Mac

Following the launch of the Sonnox Oxford Limiter v2 on the UAD platform earlier this year, which brought true peak limiting to the Sonnox limiter, we can now announce that Oxford v2 limiter is now available for users of both AAX Native and AAX DSP systems. Sonnox have also released a new MAstering collection and included the new Limiter plugin in this 5 plugin bundle.

The new Sonnox Oxford Limiter Plug-In is a true peak limiter that offers enhanced levels of processing and metering accuracy. The result is that you get to see and automatically correct otherwise invisible reconstruction overloads - and conform to the accepted industry ITU-R BS.1770-4 standard on which most broadcast delivery specs are now based on like the EBU R128 and ATSC A/85 specs. However the new Limiter is currently only available on the Mac platform but Sonnox do tell us that the Windows version will follow on soon.

After many years' service it is still a widely respected limiter and has recently received a “V2” upgrade that enhanced the peak detection processes with the latest DSP developments - and provided a much-need visual makeover as well. Most software is compatible with both Mac and Windows computers, but check to make sure. If you're using Pro Tools, AAX plug-ins (or RTAS for older versions) are what you need. Most other Mac DAWs support AU plug-ins. VST is compatible with a number of Mac and Windows programs. Be sure you choose plug-ins that work with your DAW!
